Every parent desires their children to be honorable and respectful toward them. Plus, children should honor their parents because God tells them to. They should show reverence to God first and love all neighbors as themselves, including their parents.
The enemy will come and try to lead children astray into the abyss of selfishness, pride, and rebellion. As parents, we need to pray for our children to be delivered from any such temptations. All in all, let’s pray for our children to honor their parents. Also, let’s pray they heed and respect their wisdom and advice.
A Prayer For Your Child To Honor Their Parents
Lord,
I pray in the name of Jesus on behalf of my child, (name of child).
Your Word commands that we honor our parents. I ask you to help my child be obedient in this area.
I desire for my child to have a long life. Help them have reverence for their parents.
I rebuke the spirit of rebellion and declare it ineffective in my child’s life.
Enrich our communication skills so that we would be able to resolve any conflicts.
Give me the patience I need to support my child through any difficulties they may be having.
Thank you for all you do.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have as Christians. Use it daily to ensure your child lives a full life in God and fulfills their purpose. No matter what things look like now, your child will thank you later for your faithful and fervent prayers. This battle is too important to not get involved.
