“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
– John 3:16-17
The love and forgiveness of God are His most attractive qualities and maybe the most important. Without it, no one would be able to stand before God or be a friend of His. The Bible tells us that our good works are as filthy rags before Him (Isaiah 64:6).
Without the forgiveness of Christ, we would be left by ourselves with no savior. We’d still be following all the sacrificial laws for our sins and would only be covered until the next sin.
After receiving the forgiveness of Christ for our sins, it’s so important that we extend that forgiveness to others that hurt us. God expects us to forgive others just as He has forgiven us.
“But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
– Matthew 6:15-16
Are you holding onto unforgiveness? Has someone hurt you and you find it too difficult to find it within you to forgive them? These related posts may help you:
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”
– Mark 11:25
Pray to God and ask Him to give you strength to forgive so you may be set free from the bitterness of unforgiveness. I pray you found this article helpful. If so, please share this content. Also, feel free to leave a comment below. As always, thanks for reading!
Believe it or not, it’s not difficult to become born again in Jesus Christ. In fact, the hard work has already been done for us. All we have to do is believe in it. If you want to secure a new life in Christ, follow the four steps below to be born again in Jesus Christ.
Go to Jesus in prayer. Humble yourself and repent of your sins. Recognize that He’s the door to heaven and there’s no other way to God except through Him.
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
– John 10:9
The only way for anyone to truly grasp who Jesus is is by divine revelation through the Holy Spirit. For a person to be changed, they must be born again. This only happens when God takes off the veil of our spiritual minds and allows us to see Jesus for what He is, the final sacrifice for our sins.
If you haven’t had this experience yet, pray for God to reveal Himself to you. If you’ve been revealed Jesus’s true nature and position in heaven, meditate on it. Jesus on the cross has the power to change our souls. Let it. Read more
The spiritual battle which we engage in daily takes place mostly in the mind. Therefore, if we can learn to control our mind and manage it well, the enemy won’t be able to have his way with us. It sounds simple enough, but it takes practice. By practicing these tips I’m going to share with you, you’ll be able to keep your mind calm and sound. Here are six ways to prevent mental overload.
All scriptures come from the NKJV unless otherwise noted.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
– Ephesians 6:10
The Bible tells us we’re in a spiritual war. Like any soldier at war, we cannot let our guard down. If we do, our enemy may strike and take us out. Likewise, it’s important to remain strong and not allow ourselves to become distracted or weak spiritually. It’s so important to continually pray to God and yield to the Holy Spirit.
When you’re not strong enough on your own, call on the Lord and the power of His might. When you are weak, He is strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10) By remaining strong, you’ll be able to withstand hardships without being wiped out. Read more
Life is hard and can seem to be too much at times. However, if you have the Holy Spirit with you, then you have the power to calm yourself down and regain control over yourself, your mind, and your life. Living a frustrated, worn-out life is no fun and causes us to experience so much unnecessary stress. Also, it causes those around us to be exposed to bad behavior and rotten moods. Therefore, there’s no excuse! If you want to walk a successful life with God, then you must learn to regain control once it’s been lost and start over. Here are six steps to calm down when life seems like too much.
Don’t say anything! I mean it- just stop talking! When we’re completely flustered and stressed out, we speak recklessly. We’re ready to complain (a sin) and tell everyone just how miserable we are. This is not good for anyone, especially yourself. When you feel yourself losing grip on a situation, stop talking and take time to regroup.
Analyze the situation and ask yourself if your emotions and attitudes are realistic. Sometimes we imagine things to be worse than they really are. Ask yourself, “Is my situation really that bad?” Are you stressed out and worried about something that may never happen? Are you spending time thinking about stressful situations that have already passed?
If you’re feeling angry, why? Did someone hurt you? If so, did they mean to hurt you? Sometimes we get mad over something that was a complete accident. Staying mad only hurts us. Read more
If you desire to have a successful walk with God, then the first step would be to recognize the power of the mind. The thoughts we think directly impact our behaviors, moods, actions, words, and habits. Therefore, learning to control our minds and thoughts is a crucial skill that we cannot neglect. While there are many great attitudes to adopt, there are many negative attitudes to avoid.
In this post, we’ll go over eight negative attitudes to avoid if you desire a successful walk with Christ.
Self-pity is self-defeating. It’ll never help you get anywhere or achieve the things you really want in life. In fact, self-pity is a sin. Self-pity is idolatry and the worship of one’s self. Someone who is engulfed in self-pity can never truly be grateful or appreciative because they’re completely consumed with all that is wrong with their life.
If you really took the time to think of how others live, you’d realize you probably have a lot more than others. Life is hard and unfair for everyone. We all have things we struggle with and have to overcome. However, feeling sorry for yourself will never change your situation and will only make you feel worse about yourself and your life. Instead of wasting your energy on negative attitudes and thoughts that won’t help you, try using your energy for something that would steer your life in the direction you want to go.
Try your best to avoid the trap of self-pity. That mentality keeps your mind stuck in noticing all that’s wrong with your life. Selfishness lives in that atmosphere and you’ll never understand just how truly blessed you are if you live in this mentality.
Self-pity leads to complaining, another sin. Read more
