This school year is a very important one for me. My oldest child is starting Kindergarten and I’ve taken on the task of homeschooling him. There are many reasons why I’ve decided to homeschool my children, but the biggest reason is that I want to ensure he’s getting the best, God-centered education possible. Unfortunately, the school system in America has taken a negative turn. Sending your children to public school is an extremely high risk. There’s a real possibility that your child can be taught many lessons that go against the Bible and some are downright demonic.

I wish this wasn’t the case because life would be much easier for me as a mother if I could rely on the school system to properly teach my children. I wish school teachers still prayed with their children and proudly pledged allegiance to the American flag. However, that’s simply not the case. In many schools, the priority is to teach children that skin color is everything (through CRT), America is racist (through the 1619 Project) and that gender is infinite (through LGBT studies). I personally know a preschool teacher who celebrates pride month and is sure to teach their children to celebrate it as well.

It’s a very sad thing. Many parents have absolutely no idea what their children are learning in school. Over the past couple of years, I’ve become a true believer in homeschool. No doubt, it’s been a huge change in my daily life and a challenge unlike any I’ve ever dealt with.

While preparing for this Kindergarten school year, I realized I was either going to have to pay for resources (on top of all the other money I’ve spent on supplies) or I was going to have to get creative and make things myself.

If you’re like me, then you don’t want to spend any more money than you need to. That’s why I’m going to use this website to share all the worksheets and ideas I’ve created and have come up with for Kindergarten. I hope you find them helpful.

This is the way I created these activities:

  1. I cut out all the pieces.
  2. I laminated them.
  3. I cut them out again with a lamination border and used a corner rounder so they wouldn’t be sharp.
  4. Then, I used adhesive magnets for the back of the colored pieces. (Month, Day, Year, Etc.)
  5. Next, I applied adhesive velcro to them.
  6. I used the opposite velcro for all of the interchangeable pieces.

In the morning of every day, I allow my child to change the date, days of the week, and weather according to the current day and weather.

These calendar and weather activities took me about a day and a half to create in total. However, it’s better than buying it and the lamination will protect it for a long time. If you need these worksheets or would like them for yourself, it’s my pleasure to give them to you for free.
