Being excellent is a wonderful character trait. God is excellent and He calls us to walk in His way. The Bible speaks about many ways on how to walk in excellence. Since it’s such an important topic, I want to take some time to discuss it with you and how you can become a more excellent Christian.
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Make Yourself Better
“We can have more than we’ve got because we can become more than we are.”
– Jim Rohn
Our lives on earth should not be stagnant. Instead, we should be learning and growing every day. We could be developing new skills or beneficial habits. Be very careful to not waste your time here on earth. Take advantage of all the time God is giving to you. Read more
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.“
– 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
A few years ago, I received a life-changing lesson from the scripture above: My body belongs to God- not me. It’s not my body so I don’t have the right to treat it however I desire. My body belongs to the Lord and that means I should do what He asks of me.
Our body is one of the greatest gifts God has given us. We should show our appreciation by taking care of it. In fact, we can worship and glorify God by obeying Him with our body and presenting ourselves a living sacrifice.
How can we honor God with our bodies? Here are six different ways we can do just that.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.“

Born again believers in Christ love God- there’s no doubt about it. He’s so great and merciful to us. He’s the creator of all things and has always been faithful to us.
However, many Christians struggle to consistently spend time with God on a daily basis. While there are many reasons for that, it’s important to focus on how to spend more time with God. In this post, I’m going to share some simple tactics with you to help liven up your relationship with God and help you two grow more intimately together.
Don’t Separate Your Life From God
“In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.“
– Proverbs 3:6
The Bible tells us to acknowledge God in all our ways and He will show us the way we should go. Unfortunately, there are people who think God belongs in a separate box away from their lives.
For example, there’s a believer I know who had an alcohol addiction before coming to Christ. After she got saved, she wasn’t instantly set free from it although she started taking the necessary steps to be. I remember she was about to start drinking and I kept talking about the Lord. Read more
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
– 2 Corinthians 5:17
One of the greatest blessings God has given us is our new life in Christ. When we accept Christ as our personal Savior, we are filled with the Holy Spirit. We become new creations and are born again. Therefore, it only makes sense that we focus on what’s ahead of us in life instead of what’s behind us.
However, that’s not always easy. The Bible calls the enemy the accuser of the brethren. (Revelation 12:10) He wants us to remember our past, especially our failures. If he can keep people living in their past, they will be ineffective in their present and that will affect their future. We cannot allow the enemy to steal our future.
Yet, the past isn’t a bad thing. It serves us a great purpose. We can learn many valuable lessons from our past and we should refer to it for guidance. For example, when I was 14 I was in a very horrific car accident. A drunk man attempted to walk across a highway-type road that had five lanes of traffic. The car in front of us barely missed him and unfortunately, my mom couldn’t stop the car fast enough. The man died upon impact. Read more
A demonic stronghold is a mental fortress taken by demonic forces in the mind of people. There are many different types of demonic strongholds. I’ve written a post about 12 different demonic spirits– all of which can set up a stronghold.
Before we get into how to remove demonic strongholds, it’s important to understand that only God can remove them. By ourselves, we do not have the power to go up against demons. It’s spiritual warfare that has to be fought in the spiritual realm. Also, God is the only force in the universe that’s powerful enough to defeat these beings.
However, God is not a spirit that anyone can use. His power is only available to those who have a relationship with Him through salvation. Therefore, only a believer in Christ can use the force of God to expel evil forces.
Now that we’ve established the ground rules for casting down demonic strongholds, we can get into the process of doing so.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

There are many demonic spirits, but in this post, we’re going to talk about 12 of the most common ones. These can usually be found at the foundation of all demonic activity.
As a Christian, you cannot be possessed or fully ruled by an enemy. However, you can be harassed, oppressed, and beat down by failing to cast out these spirits. All they need is a little bit of access to set up a stronghold in your mind to reign from.
A stronghold is formed by a wrong pattern of thinking by the believer. After a stronghold is formed, it can be used by an unclean spirit to influence a believer’s actions, habits, and lifestyle. This is why it’s incredibly important to be able to recognize these spirits and tear down these strongholds.

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
