There are many signs that someone may be under demonic influence. All of these signs that I will list could also be caused by other reasons as well. However, I want to take a look at the man in the scripture below. The man exhibited extreme behaviors and was chained up in a cemetery because of them. Let’s take a look at a few signs that could indicate someone is under demonic influence.

“Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.“

There was a time when people didn’t feel comfortable with the spiritual realm and the unknown. They stayed away from that kind of stuff and clung to God. However, as time went on people as a whole got more comfortable with the spiritual realm. For example, Halloween is something Christians and unbelievers celebrate alike.

Just scroll through the movies and shows on Netflix. Chances are you’ll find many scary movies that would take hours to watch. For some reason, people seem to love the thrill of being frightened. If you’ve ever been to Six Flags during Fright Fest then you know exactly what I mean.

I totally get it because I used to like scary movies, too. It was fun to pick at the imagination of the unknown. People find it entertaining because they don’t think any of the stuff they’re seeing could actually be true. And if it is, it’s not something they couldn’t handle themselves with some sage and a cleansing.

But that all changed for me. I no longer watch scary movies or even trailers for that matter. My family doesn’t celebrate Halloween. In fact, I’m very watchful at all times to make sure no unclean spirits are making a move at my family.

Of course, there are many demonic spirits at work to disrupt the Will and work of God. However, the spirit of Jezebel is a highly powerful spirit that one must learn to recognize and deal with properly. That’s why this post is going to share with you a little bit about the spirit of Jezebel including its characteristics and Jezebel from the Old Testament.

Jezebel In The Old Testament

“Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him. Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.“

King Ahab was a wicked king that ruled over Israel for twenty-two years. He married Jezebel, who was a worshipper of Baal, a god of that represented fertility and life.
