The American Patriots Bible

This Bible is my absolute favorite and, believe me, I have many. There are many reasons why I love this Bible. It was the first one I ever received after becoming saved. The size of the text is great and it teaches American history while you’re reading the Bible. You can learn about all the great American leaders who were Christian and things they’ve said or done because of the Lord. If I had to choose a Bible to give to every American, it would be this one- without a doubt.

The Life Application Bible NKJV

It’s rare to find a seasoned Christian who doesn’t have one of these Life Application Bibles tucked away somewhere. This book is so essential for a new Christian. It’s set up like a college textbook- it’s filled with commentary notes, maps, character descriptions, a long concordance, and references. You can’t get more information than what’s found in this book. I listed the NKJV because that’s my preferred version, but these come in many different translations, languages, and font sizes.

If you don’t have one of these yet, please consider getting one. They’re worth the money and last a long time. I’ve had mine for almost ten years and it’s still in great shape. My cousin has one that has duct tape on the spine and it’s still functional. I will warn you that it’s big so it may be good to have a smaller one around. However, you cannot beat this Bible when it comes to studying, understanding, and applying the Bible. It’s so good.

Rules Of Engagement By Cindy Trimm

I’ve used this book regularly since I’ve purchased it. It’s full of a spiritual prayer that’s full of power! Not only that, but it teaches you how to correctly prepare yourself for prayer. All in all, it’s a great book.

The Terminal Generation By Hal Lindsey

Although this book was written in the ’70s, it’s just as important and revealing today as it was back then. I absolutely love this book because it contains so much information that’s important to God’s people. He talks about the current decline in the morals of Americans (which have gotten way worse since the ’70s). He reveals what the universities are teaching Americans that motivates them to ditch their religious beliefs (again, it’s way worse today). Half of the book is about the end times and the coming rapture of the church, and he shares that anyone can be born again through Jesus Christ. Overall, it’s a wonderful book.

Everyone’s Guide To Demons & Spiritual Warfare By Ron Phillips

I’ve had this book for years and have used it as a reference many times. It covers different types of demons and how to deal with them. I definitely recommend it!

The New Strong’s Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words

This is the exact book I’ve used to do all of my Hebrew and Greek studies on this website. Although I’ve done a lot of studies, this book has every word you can imagine. I love it and I believe it’s necessary for every believer to have something like this in their library they can use as a resource.

Shaping History Through Prayer And Fasting By Derek Prince

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, then I’m sure you’ve seen me recommend this book before. This book taught me how important it is to fast and pray as a believer in Christ. I still want to get this book out to as many Christians as possible.

Total Money Makeover By Dave Ramsey

Dave Ramsey is a Christian financial teacher that gets all his principal foundations from the Bible. For example, the Bible says, “The borrower is servant to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7 KJV) Therefore, he teaches that you and I should never carry debt and he gives an easy-to-follow solution for getting out of debt.

Dave Ramsey completely changed my life and I would recommend him to believers and nonbelievers alike. There’s a financial crisis in America right now so there’s no time like the present to get financially fit! He has a Youtube channel if you want to view his free content before purchasing. Also, around Christmas time his books usually go on sale for $10 each. It’s a great deal.

The Daniel Plan by Rick Warren, Daniel Amen, and Mark Hyman

I ended up finding this book on a great deal at a local discount shop. This book changed my life and is my go-to book for fitness and nutrition. I’ve lent this book out to many people because it’s so valuable. The very first revelation I had when reading this book is that my body doesn’t belong to me.

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

– 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

The body that you have and the body that I have belong to God and Him alone. Therefore, neither of us has any right to treat our bodies badly. We are instructed to glorify God in our bodies. Since this book was written by two medical doctors, it’s loaded with information about eating and exercising well. It will teach you how to read a nutrition label and how to identify ingredients to avoid. This book provides you will recipes to try and exercises you can do that are fun, such as playing tennis, swimming, jumping rope, and cycling. I’m confident this book will help you get in shape and transform your eating habits and nutrition.

The Book Of Life And How To Play It By Florence Scovel Shinn

This book is very short and I’m sure you could read this in one day. Yet, this book is so good. It taught me how to be led by the Holy Spirit more effectively and how to trust God after I pray. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m sure you will too!
