Scriptures On Pride

If you’re a follower in Christ and a believer in the Bible, then you know that there are many things the Bible has to say about pride. Pride was the reason Satan turned against God. Pride is considered an abomination before the Lord and it’s extremely destructive. I’ve compiled many scriptures on pride for anyone who is interested. Scriptures On Pride In The Old Testament

“I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.”

– Leviticus 26:19

“Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said, “Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.”

Conclusion

There are many scriptures on pride and God is quite clear that pridefulness leads to destruction. The cure for pride is to ask God for a humble heart. I truly believe that if people were to be humble and squash pride in their hearts, the world would be a better place.
