Scriptures To Help You Overcome Anger

When my journey with God began, I had a really bad temper. It was easy for me to get mad and offended. I never knew another way to live and needed to overcome this obstacle. The technique I credit for helping me kick that bad habit is affirming scriptures about anger. I read them every day and kept them near my door. I didn’t let myself leave until I said those scriptures. Therefore, I put together a list of scriptures to help you overcome anger too.

All scriptures are taken from the NKJV unless otherwise noted.

– Ephesians 4:26-27

– 2 Timothy 2:23

But a wise man holds them back.”

– Proverbs 29:11

And with a furious man do not go,
Lest you learn his ways
And set a snare for your soul.”

– Proverbs 22:24-25

Conclusion

These lists are extremely beneficial to those who want to take their relationship with God to the next level. The reason why this technique works is that eventually, the bible verses make their way to your subconscious. When anger begins to rise up, so will God’s truth.
